I believe that we are all capable of growth and change, but we must also consider the various systems and perspectives that can get in our way. My goal is to empower others to make their own decisions and change. I currently work with children, adolescents and adults. I enjoy using various therapeutic approaches including feminist, person-centered, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). My counseling approach is from a diverse multicultural perspective, and use different approaches based on the needs of the client.
As the counselor, I am here to support you in your journey towards growth and change and will work collaboratively with you. I will give you the space you need to achieve the change you want. You are the expert, I will be there to support you, validate your experiences, while also challenging you to work towards your goals. I am a first-generation Latina, am bilingual, and am able to provide your sessions in Spanish.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching movies, hiking, and reading books.
